Statement of Faith
As a Christian theological institution, Noeton International Christian University is committed to biblical truth, theological orthodoxy, and the integration of faith and learning. Our theological commitments inform all aspects of our educational mission, curriculum, and community life.
We affirm the following core theological commitments:
The Authority and Inspiration of Scripture
We believe the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. Scripture is verbally and plenarily inspired by God, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, and is the complete and final revelation of God's will for humanity. Scripture is the foundation for all theological education and ministry practice, serving as the ultimate authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct. We affirm that the Bible is without error in its original manuscripts and is the only infallible rule of faith and practice, the standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried.
The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three persons are co-equal, co-eternal, and co-essential, sharing the same divine nature, attributes, and perfections. While distinct in person and function, they are one in essence, purpose, and will, together constituting the one true and living God. We affirm the mystery of the Trinity as revealed in Scripture and affirmed in historic Christian orthodoxy.
The Person and Work of Christ
We believe in the full deity and full humanity of Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. We affirm His virgin birth, sinless life, perfect obedience to the Father, substitutionary atoning death on the cross for the sins of humanity, bodily resurrection from the dead, ascension into heaven, and present intercession at the right hand of the Father. Jesus Christ is the only Savior and Lord, the unique mediator between God and humanity, and through His death and resurrection provides the only way of salvation. We believe in His personal, visible, and glorious return to establish His kingdom and judge the world.
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the full deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit was active in creation, the inspiration of Scripture, and the incarnation of Christ. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerates, indwells, seals, and baptizes all believers into the body of Christ at the moment of salvation; and empowers, guides, teaches, and sanctifies believers for Christian life and ministry. The Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit and distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the church and the advancement of the gospel.
Humanity: Creation, Fall, and Redemption
We believe that humanity was created by God in His own image, male and female, with inherent dignity, worth, and purpose. God created humanity for relationship with Himself and to steward His creation. Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, humanity fell into sin, resulting in spiritual death, separation from God, and the corruption of human nature. All human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice, deserving of God's judgment. Through faith in Jesus Christ, humanity can be restored to relationship with God, receive forgiveness of sins, and fulfill their God-given purpose of glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is entirely by the grace of God, not by human works, merit, or effort. Salvation is accomplished solely through the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross, received by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. This salvation is available to all who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation includes regeneration by the Holy Spirit, justification by faith, adoption into God's family, and the guarantee of eternal life. We affirm that all true believers are eternally secure in Christ, kept by the power of God, and will persevere in faith to the end.
The Church: Universal and Local
We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, consisting of all true believers in Jesus Christ from every nation, tribe, and tongue, both living and dead. The church was established by Christ, is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and is the primary instrument through which God accomplishes His purposes in the world. The local church is the visible expression of the universal church, called to worship God, fellowship with one another, grow in discipleship, and fulfill the Great Commission. The church is commissioned by Christ to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the gospel, teaching the Word of God, administering the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper, and demonstrating the love of Christ to the world.
Sanctification and Christian Living
We believe in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, producing progressive growth in holiness, Christlikeness, and spiritual maturity. Sanctification is both positional (complete in Christ) and progressive (ongoing growth in holiness). Christians are called to live lives of obedience, service, and witness, empowered by the Holy Spirit and guided by Scripture. We believe that the Christian life should be characterized by love for God and neighbor, moral purity, integrity, compassion, and faithful service in the church and the world.
The Return of Christ and Eschatology
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom, resurrect the dead, and judge the world. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: believers to eternal life and fellowship with God in the new heaven and new earth, and unbelievers to eternal separation from God in hell. We affirm the final judgment, where all will be judged according to their deeds, and the eternal state of both the saved and the lost. We believe in the consummation of God's redemptive plan, the restoration of all things, and the eternal reign of Christ.
The Great Commission and Global Mission
We believe that the church is commissioned by Christ to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the gospel, teaching the Word of God, and demonstrating the love of Christ to the world. This mission encompasses both local and global contexts, calling all believers to participate in God's redemptive work. We are committed to equipping faithful servants for ministry in diverse cultural contexts, addressing contemporary challenges with biblical wisdom and Christian love. We embrace the use of technology and innovation, including online education and artificial intelligence, as tools for fulfilling this commission, making theological education accessible to faithful servants worldwide, from every nation and culture, as we work together to advance God's kingdom.
Stewardship of Creation and Technology
We believe that God has given humanity the responsibility to steward His creation, including the resources and tools He has provided. We affirm that technology, when used wisely and ethically under the guidance of biblical principles, can be a powerful instrument for advancing God's kingdom and equipping His people for ministry. We commit to using educational technology, including artificial intelligence and digital platforms, as faithful stewards, ensuring that these tools serve the greater purpose of making disciples and preparing faithful servants for ministry, while maintaining the primacy of human relationships, spiritual formation, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all educational endeavors.
Theological Distinctives
While we affirm the core doctrines of historic Christianity as expressed in the Statement of Faith above, we recognize and respect the diversity of perspectives within the broader Christian tradition. Our faculty and students represent various denominational backgrounds and theological traditions, united by our common commitment to biblical authority and the core doctrines of the Christian faith.
We are committed to:
- Biblical Fidelity: Faithful interpretation and application of Scripture, recognizing the Bible as our ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice.
- Evangelical Commitment: Affirmation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Great Commission, calling all people to repentance and faith in Christ.
- Ecumenical Respect: Respect for diverse Christian traditions and denominations, recognizing the unity of the body of Christ while acknowledging legitimate differences in secondary matters.
- Missional Focus: Commitment to the mission of God, equipping students to participate in God's work of redemption and restoration in the world.
- Cultural Engagement: Preparation of students to engage thoughtfully with contemporary culture, addressing current issues with biblical wisdom and Christian love.
Our Story
Noeton International Christian University was founded with a vision to make quality theological education accessible to faithful servants of Christ around the world. Recognizing that God's call to ministry knows no geographical boundaries, we established an online institution dedicated to equipping men and women for effective ministry service wherever they are called to serve.
Our founding vision emerged from the recognition that many called to ministry cannot uproot their families or leave their places of service to attend traditional residential theological institutions. We believe that quality theological education should be accessible to pastors in remote villages, missionaries in unreached areas, lay leaders in urban centers, and faithful servants everywhere who are called to serve God's kingdom.
We are building our programs and institutional capacity with a commitment to excellence, integrity, and faithful service to the global church. We are committed to pursuing accreditation through recognized theological education accrediting bodies while maintaining our focus on accessible, high-quality theological education that prepares students for effective ministry.
Our name "Vine" reflects our commitment to abiding in Christ, as Jesus taught: "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). We believe that effective ministry flows from abiding in Christ, and our educational mission is to help students grow deep roots in biblical truth, theological understanding, and spiritual formation so they can bear fruit for God's kingdom.
Philosophy of Education
At Noeton International Christian University, our educational philosophy is grounded in the conviction that theological education should be academically rigorous, spiritually formative, and practically applicable. We believe that effective ministry preparation requires a holistic approach that integrates biblical knowledge, theological understanding, spiritual development, and practical skills.
Our Educational Approach
Our educational philosophy encompasses several key principles:
- Academic Excellence: We are committed to maintaining high academic standards that prepare students for effective ministry and further academic study. Our curriculum is designed to be intellectually rigorous while remaining accessible to students from diverse educational backgrounds.
- Spiritual Formation: We believe that theological education must include intentional spiritual formation, recognizing that effective ministry flows from a deep, personal relationship with God. Spiritual growth is integrated throughout our curriculum and educational experience.
- Practical Application: We emphasize the practical application of theological knowledge, ensuring that students can effectively apply what they learn to real-world ministry contexts. Our programs include practicum experiences, ministry projects, and opportunities for hands-on learning.
- Accessibility: We are committed to making quality theological education accessible to all whom God has called to serve, regardless of geographical location, life circumstances, or financial resources. Our online delivery model removes traditional barriers to theological education.
- Global Perspective: We recognize that the church is global and diverse, and we prepare students to serve effectively in various cultural contexts. Our programs emphasize cross-cultural understanding and global ministry perspectives.
- Integration of Faith and Learning: We believe that all truth is God's truth, and we seek to help students see connections between their studies and their faith. Every course is taught from a Christian worldview, recognizing that theological education serves the greater purpose of preparing faithful servants for ministry.
Online Education Philosophy
Our commitment to online education reflects our belief that quality theological education can be effectively delivered through distance learning when combined with intentional community, meaningful interaction, and comprehensive support services. We utilize modern educational technology and innovative learning platforms to create an engaging and effective learning environment that maintains the personal connection and academic rigor essential to theological education.
We recognize that online education requires intentional design to foster community, facilitate meaningful interaction between students and faculty, and provide comprehensive support services. Our online platform is designed to create a rich learning environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and practically, even while learning from a distance.
Integration of Faith and Learning
At Noeton International Christian University, we believe that all learning should be integrated with faith. We seek to help students see connections between their studies and their faith, recognizing that all truth is God's truth. Our goal is to prepare students to engage academic work from a Christian worldview and to apply theological knowledge to real-world ministry contexts.
Spiritual Formation and Discipleship
At Noeton International Christian University, we believe that theological education is not merely about acquiring knowledge but about transformation into the likeness of Christ. Spiritual formation is at the heart of our educational mission, recognizing that effective ministry flows from a deep, personal relationship with God and a life shaped by the Holy Spirit.
We are committed to fostering spiritual growth through:
- Biblical Devotion: Regular engagement with Scripture, prayer, and spiritual disciplines that deepen our relationship with God and align our hearts with His purposes.
- Prayer and Worship: Cultivating a life of prayer, both personal and corporate, recognizing that prayer is essential to ministry effectiveness and spiritual vitality.
- Christian Community: Building authentic relationships within the body of Christ, where students encourage, challenge, and support one another in their faith journey and ministry preparation.
- Spiritual Disciplines: Practicing spiritual disciplines such as meditation, fasting, service, and study, which have been central to Christian growth throughout history.
- Ministry Calling: Helping students discern and respond to God's call to ministry, recognizing that effective service flows from a clear sense of vocation and divine purpose.
As Jesus taught His disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). We believe that theological education must be grounded in this call to discipleship, where academic learning serves the greater purpose of becoming faithful followers of Christ and effective servants in His kingdom.
Biblical Foundation
The Bible is the foundation of all we do at Noeton International Christian University. We believe that "all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Our commitment to biblical authority means that:
- Scripture Guides Our Teaching: All courses, curriculum, and instruction are grounded in faithful interpretation and application of God's Word, recognizing the Bible as our ultimate authority.
- Biblical Truth Informs Practice: We seek to bridge the gap between biblical knowledge and ministry practice, ensuring that what we learn from Scripture shapes how we serve in the world.
- Exegetical Excellence: We emphasize careful, faithful interpretation of Scripture, teaching students to handle God's Word with accuracy, reverence, and wisdom.
- Gospel-Centered Education: The gospel of Jesus Christ is central to all we teach, recognizing that the good news of salvation through Christ transforms lives and communities.
We believe that theological education must be deeply rooted in Scripture, for it is through God's Word that we come to know God, understand His purposes, and learn how to serve Him faithfully. As the psalmist declares, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105).
Online Education and Global Reach

Our online delivery model allows us to serve students across the globe, removing barriers that have traditionally prevented faithful servants from receiving quality theological education. Through online education, we can reach pastors in remote villages, missionaries in unreached areas, and lay leaders in urban centers—all united in their desire to serve God more effectively.
As stewards of God's resources, we embrace educational technology and innovative learning platforms to enhance the educational experience. Our online platform utilizes modern learning management systems, virtual classrooms, and digital resources to create an engaging and effective learning environment for students worldwide.

Our Commitment to the Church
Noeton International Christian University exists to serve the church—the body of Christ—by equipping faithful servants for ministry. We believe that the church is God's chosen instrument for advancing His kingdom on earth, and we are committed to supporting local churches, denominations, and ministry organizations in their mission to make disciples and transform communities.
Our commitment to the church includes:
- Partnership with Local Churches: We seek to partner with local churches and ministry organizations, recognizing that theological education is most effective when it serves the needs of the local body of Christ and supports the work of pastors and ministry leaders.
- Denominational Diversity: We welcome students from various Christian denominations and traditions, recognizing the diversity of the body of Christ while maintaining unity in our core theological commitments.

- Global Church Mission: We recognize that the church is global, and we are committed to serving the worldwide body of Christ by making theological education accessible to faithful servants wherever they are called to serve.
As the apostle Paul wrote, "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-12). We believe that theological education is a vital part of this equipping work, preparing God's people for faithful and effective ministry in His kingdom.
Christian Community and Fellowship
While Noeton International Christian University operates as an online institution, we are deeply committed to fostering authentic Christian community and meaningful fellowship among our students, faculty, and staff. We believe that theological education is enriched when it occurs within the context of genuine Christian relationships, where students can learn from one another, encourage each other, and grow together in faith.
Our commitment to Christian community includes:
- Virtual Fellowship: Through online forums, discussion groups, virtual gatherings, and collaborative learning activities, we create opportunities for students to connect, share, and build meaningful relationships despite geographical distances.
- Prayer Support: We encourage prayer for one another, recognizing that prayer is essential to Christian community and that we are called to bear one another's burdens and support each other in our faith journeys.
- Mutual Encouragement: We believe that students learn not only from faculty but from one another, as they share insights from their ministry contexts, challenge each other's thinking, and encourage one another in their calling to serve.
- Accountability and Growth: We foster an environment where students can be honest about their struggles, receive support in their challenges, and grow together in character, faith, and ministry effectiveness.
- Celebrating Diversity: We recognize that the body of Christ is diverse, and we celebrate the different perspectives, experiences, and gifts that students bring to our community, enriching our understanding of God's work in the world.
As Jesus taught, "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35). We believe that Christian community characterized by love, mutual support, and genuine fellowship is essential to effective theological education and ministry preparation.
A Call to Ministry
Noeton International Christian University is for those who sense God's call to ministry—whether that call is to pastoral ministry, missions, teaching, counseling, worship, administration, or any other form of Christian service. We believe that ministry is not merely a profession but a calling from God, and we are committed to helping students discern, prepare for, and faithfully fulfill that calling.
We recognize that God calls people to ministry in diverse ways:
- Pastoral Ministry: Those called to shepherd God's people, preach His Word, and lead local churches in faithful service to Christ and their communities.
- Missions and Evangelism: Those called to share the gospel across cultures and nations, making disciples of all peoples and advancing God's kingdom globally.
- Teaching and Discipleship: Those called to teach God's Word, disciple believers, and equip others for ministry through theological education and Christian formation.
- Counseling and Care: Those called to provide pastoral care, counseling, and support to those in need, bringing God's healing and hope to broken lives.
- Worship and Arts: Those called to lead God's people in worship, using music, arts, and creative expression to glorify God and edify the church.
- Administration and Leadership: Those called to serve in administrative and leadership roles, using their gifts to support and strengthen the work of ministry organizations and churches.
Whatever form your call to ministry takes, Noeton International Christian University is here to help you prepare. We believe that God equips those He calls, and we are honored to partner with you in your preparation for faithful service in His kingdom. As the prophet Isaiah responded to God's call, "Here I am! Send me" (Isaiah 6:8), we pray that you will respond to God's call with the same willingness and that we can help equip you for the ministry to which He has called you.
